Batting first United made a hefty 6/297, with 103 retired from opening batsman Bevan Coleman the highlight. Coleman and fellow opener Ryan Griffin gave United a great start with a partnership of 67 before Griffen was dismissed for 30. Ken Middlebrook (46), Dylan Wodwell (23), Dennis Muldoon (22*), Jonathon Taylor (20) and Jacob Northey-Wodwell (19) all made contributions.
Scott Patterson with 2/38 was the best of the Old Bar bowlers.
Wodwell and Middlebrook struck early for United in Old Bar’s run chase and the Seasiders didn’t recover. Gary West with 27 top scored. Middlebrook finished with 3/35 for United.
This was United’s second win for the season.
