While the school acknowledged this major milestone with the Bulahdelah community in September, the staff and students enjoyed a lower key event which included cake, a small assembly, a commemorative tree planting and the students were presented with a pen.
Deputy principal, Deb Gilbert said students and staff were settling into their new classes in the secondary department.
“They are setting new goals and are enjoying the challenges, choices and high expectations for the new 2019 academic year,” she said.
Students are able to sample how their next year's classes will operate and have the school holidays to prepare homework and study programs, set goals and prepare routines for success.
