Friday (December 14) is expected to be partly cloudy with a possible thunderstorm in the afternoon. There is a very high chance of showers and light winds becoming northeasterly 20 to 25 km/h in the middle of the day. The top temperature is due to reach 30 degrees.
A similar prediction for Saturday (December 15) under cloudy skies with a high chance of a shower or two and a possible thunderstorm in the afternoon and early evening. Temperatures are due to reach 28 degrees with north to northeasterly winds 15 to 20 km/h becoming light before dawn then becoming north to northeasterly 20 to 30 km/h in the morning.
Sunday (December 16) is expected to be much the same as Saturday with a medium chance of a shower or two and a possible thunderstorm. Partly cloudy skies with a maximum temperature of 29 degrees. Winds are to be northeasterly 15 to 20 km/h becoming light during the evening.
The BOM recommends sun protection from 8.20am to 5pm throughout the weekend with the UV Index predicted to reach extreme.
