The West batted first and made 122 in difficult conditions, with the wicket two paced and the outfield heavy. Nathan Johnson batted patiently to top score with 46 while newly re-appointed captain Josh Meldrum made 35.
Taree West’s bowlers then preformed superbly to limit Wauchope to 77 in just 22 overs.
Brendan Mays was the early destroyer and finished with 2/19 while Shane Manny took 3/18. Brian Levi (2/15) and Josh McLeod (2/8) also contributed.
The win lifts Taree West from last to seventh on the competition ladder.
United, Wingham and Port Pirates were other winners, with Wingham and Port Pirates remaining unbeaten.
Third placed United will play Wingham in the match of the round on Saturday. The game is at Chatham Park.
