We had the absolute pleasure of attending the last evening performance of the Les Misérables stage production, together with family members from Sydney who attended specially, and a nine and 11 year old granddaughter and grandson.
Thank you for the opportunity of enabling such a world class production to be brought to the Mid North Coast.
The commitment, discipline, encouragement and talent that involved so many hours of visioning, creating and passing the vision-on to those wishing to participate, and were prepared to be part of the dedicated team.
The portrayal gave an emotion roller-coaster, ranging from ‘cringe’ with the brutality, and the system at the time, of heartless judgements that caused hopelessness, depravation or desperate life choices; love; comic relief; and a most sensitive spirituality threaded through the storyline, that showed compassion, kindness, hope, love and forgiveness.
Thank you also for the very informative program – in Sydney you would expect to pay $20 for a copy whereas the $5 asked was very good value. A souvenir to revisit for extra information.
Gayle, we are sure you must feel grateful for the vision you had, and how with the help of many people you and they were able to achieve such a triumph for so many people.
