This was organised by Ian Jones from the Taree Auto Group.
Football Mid North Coast chairman Mike Parsons said this is part of the developing relationship between the Jets and the zone.
The Jets have visited Forster-Tuncurry, Taree and Port Macquarie for the past two years as part of the club’s preparation for the A-League season. This included playing a trial match against Football Mid North Coast Premier League northern and southern sides. As a result last month Football Mid North Coast conducted the inaugural northern/southern challenge game at Taree and this will now become an annual event on FMNC’s calendar. Newcastle Jets W-League squad also played a Football Mid North Coast selection last month, also at Taree.
Newcastle’s A-League squad will return to this area in 2019.
McKinna was the inaugural A-League coach of the year when he had charge of the Hunter Mariners.
Mr Parsons hopes the Jets coaching staff will be available further assist FMNC National Premier League squads before the start of the 2019 season.
