Police have also issued a reminder for everyone to remove your valuables from your motor vehicles, and ensure that your vehicle is locked.

Police say at present, thieves are targeting property in motor vehicles, such as cash, wallets, mobile phones and similar electronic devices. It has been extremely rare for forced entry to be used to enter the motor vehicles from where the thefts occurred. 

“The message we are sending is simple. Lock your cars and remove your property,” police say.
