A considerable amount of sand has been placed against the fore dune and now more sand from the intertidal zone has been restored to the beach itself.
As this is the first tangible action undertaken since the formation of the Old Bar Beach Sand Replenishment Group 10 years ago, members thought it was a good reason to go out and celebrate.
Last Thursday evening they met up at Michael's Chinese restaurant for a meal and get together. They are very thankful to Andrew Staniland of MidCoast Council for the efforts he has made to progress the issue.

Last Friday evening, Old Bar was treated to a great night of entertainment at Club Old Bar when the Fleetwood Mac tribute band presented their 'Running in the Shadows' show. World class musicians wowed the audience along with great vocals in presenting a wide range of the iconic groups hits.
