Storm clouds started to build in the west on Friday afternoon but the raid radar showed only patches of potential rain.
Showers are predicted to continue across the Manning over the weekend and into next week.
A strong high pressure system over the Tasman Sea will slowly move towards New Zealand over the coming days, generating east to northeasterly winds along the NSW coast.
Winds will turn back to the northeast late Friday.
Temperatures will generally be mild however Saturday’s forecast maximum is 29 degrees Celsius and Tuesday’s maximum is 30.

The Manning has received 176.6 millimetres of rain over 13 days this month.
The highest rainfall this month was recorded on the Saturday of the Taree Show, October 6.
Almost 70mm of rain fell, causing the grand parade to be cancelled. Falls this week: October 13 – 5.8mm; October 14 – 11.2mm; October 15 – 12.2mm; October 16 – 12.2mm; October 17 – 6mm; October 18 – 26cm; October 19 - 0.6mm.
The wettest October in the past 20 years was in 2004 when 321mm was recorded.
