Dean took the microphone on Sunday afternoon, to ask Lindy Clissold to be his wife.
For the record, he said words were to the effect: “You weren’t my first, but I hope you will be may last.”
Dean likes to be unorthodox and his knows Lindy hates to be the centre of attention.
Was he concerned about Lindy’s response? No, it was a sure bet, he said.
Dean was considering taking part in the demolition derby, which he has done a few times in the past at Taree and Wingham shows, but with a proposal to make, he didn’t want to risk it.
Dean and Lindy plan to marry in about 12 months time, somewhere near the beach.
