Stage one of a recent expansion at Sunrise Supported Living Tuncurry is now complete.
Twenty six one- and two-bedroom units have been added to the footprint of the village, part of a larger redevelopment that has been two years in the making.
Another 13 units are expected to be completed before Christmas which will effectively double the size of the entire complex and bring more friends to the village.

Each home is fully self contained and includes fully appointed kitchens and personal laundry facilities, split system air conditioning and heating and an in-room emergency duress call system.
All have their own balcony or courtyard and the village is set amongst a well-established garden setting with no steps.
Demand has been high for the units and so far of the 26 units recently completed only five are still available.
The village expansion includes a new community lounge.
“There is no other village like this on the Mid North Coast,” said director Paul Greenup.
It is neither a retirement village or a nursing home. “I like to think we offer the best of both worlds,” said Paul.
