One hundred and fifty people came together for the French-inspired evening, A Night in Paris, which included entertainment, auctions and food, as well as a sneak peek at one of the group numbers from the show.
The performers thrilled the audience, with songs from cast members Ian Castle, Stacey Evans, Dave Stephens, Mary Camphuis, Tim Gibbs and vocalist Leonie Ganivet.
Three of the cast members gave the audience an added laugh, performing parodies of their well known songs from the show.
A high energy Can Can routine was presented by dancers Joanna Drake, Tanaya Wrigley, Annabelle Hansen and Elizabeth Avery and received a rapturous response.
Real estate agent Rob Chapman conducted a number of auctions that were well supported with people enthusiastically bidding on the services on offer from local businesses and organisations.
The evening was compered by Jeremy Miller, who is well known to Taree Arts Council audiences.
Organisers said the crowd was jovial and had a fantastic time, and enjoyed seeing the cast members supporting each other in their performances and the auction.
The crowd was treated to French fare with canapés of Fainting Pope, Salmon Blinis, Crostini de Boeuf, Lamb Roulettes and Gougeres on offer.
Taree Arts Council’s Les Misérables is directed by Gayle Cameron and musically directed by Don Secomb.
The cast of almost 50 has been in rehearsal since April and is only weeks away from moving into the theatre for final preparations.
Seventeen musicians will make up the live orchestra.
Les Misérables is on at the Manning Entertainment Centre, Taree, between November 2 and 18.
