The school won the girl’s championship for the first time last year and only lost two players from that roster. They went into the finals matches as favourites and defeated the powerful Westfield Sports High in the quarter final before accounting for Mulwaree in the semi-final to set up the clash against Orange, where they always looked the better side.
Lara Watts, Jordan Moscatt and Hayley Manusu scored Taree High’s goals.
Earlier Taree boys finished in fifth spot after beating Crookwell 4-1 in the playoff match. The boys bowed out of contention for higher honours when beaten in the quarter final by Camden.
Jordan Hardy coached the girl’s side with Kerrie Davy in charge of the boys.
