Organisers, Last Man Stands Taree-Forster manager Trent Thompson is happy with the response.
In and Out will make the trip from Ipswich while the Rock Lobsters second side will travel from Wollongong.
"The Rock Lobsters first side are the national champions,’’ Thompson explained.
The remaining teams are from the Manning and Great Lakes. Matches start from 10am tomorrow at Lake Street at Forster, Old Bar Reserve and the Chris Dempsey Field at Old Bar. There’ll be three pools of four teams. The top three sides from each pool and the next highest finishing side will progress to the semi-finals at the Old Bar Reserve and Chris Dempsey on Sunday morning, with the final at the Dempsey Field that afternoon. Matches will be under the Last Man Stands eight-a-side rules. There’ll be a barbecue at the major sponsor, the Old Bar Tavern on Saturday afternoon with the presentation there on Sunday. There’ll be a prize pool of $1000 while the Nick Larkin player of the tournament will also be announced.
Thompson said it is too late now to enter sides.
“Anyone wanting a game should turn up at one of the venues on Saturday and there might be a vacancy.’’
