Wet weather caused the cancellation of its first Spring Fling on August 26 and so garden spokesperson, Bree Katsamangos rescheduled the event for tomorrow, Saturday, September 15 at 2pm.
Bree said the event would involve helping to plant seedlings and plants donated by Bunnings, adding mulch to the garden and general maintenance jobs.
“We were absolutely delighted when Bunnings got in touch and asked if they could support us in this way,” Bree said. “They always have beautiful, healthy plant stock and it will complement some of the seedlings being propagated by our volunteers.
Bunnings’ contribution is a great extension of the generosity of the whole community in having the garden moved and re-settled.

“We also have some more ground beds to construct and Bunnings has kindly offered to donate the 12 bags of quick set concrete we will need to complete them. The Bunnings contribution is a great extension of the generosity of the whole community in having the garden moved and resettled.
“Come along – this is the fun part! It’s also a great opportunity to get your kids grubby! Wear sturdy enclosed shoes, bring a hat, water and your mug and thermos for afternoon tea.”
