Last week, the charity accepted $550 from the Westpac Taree branch.
“We wanted to make sure we could put the money into something that can help the local community,” Westpac Taree branch bank manager Joel Elbourne said.
Can Assist Manning Valley president Bonita Lindfield was ecstatic with the donation.
“We thank them for thinking of us,” Ms Lindfield said.
The charity hosted the ‘Elton the Young Years’ show at Club Taree last month which raised $12,700.
Other fundraisers this year included the Kristylea Bridge Cup and TasteFest on the Manning.
Ms Lindfield outlined the support the charity has received since its inception in 2012.
“In six years, Can Assist Manning Valley has raised $320,000.
“We’ve received more than 320 requests for assistance.
“It’s about locals helping locals as all the money raised stays here,” Ms Lindfield said.
Can Assist Manning Valley services the Manning, Great Lakes and Gloucester and provides accommodation, practical support and financial assistance to those affected by cancer.
