The veteran dummy half started for the Roosters in their 10-4 loss to the Warriors last Saturday.
“The team as a whole has a few issues to fix up.
“We didn’t stick to our structure and our game plan went out the window after we had to defend so much early on.
“We’ve got a lot of improving to do and we were outmuscled by the Warriors,” Kylie said.
Boasting a star studded line-up, the Roosters entered the match as favourites.
But minimal scoring opportunities, almost a dozen errors and a scoreless second half put the result to bed.
“Our forwards needed to do way too much work.
“We needed to get the ball out wide which is how you can beat the Warriors,” Kylie said.
It was Kylie’s first on-field appearance since suffering a ruptured medial ligament while playing for NSW Country during the Australian championships earlier this year.
Kylie was one of the Roosters’ top defenders with 15 tackles in a 23 minute stint.
“I’ve also got a role to direct the forwards around before the other dummy half comes on at the end of each half,” Kylie said.
Being the first game of the inaugural competition, Kylie said there was added pressure heading into the clash.
“We tried to ignore the hype but it does get to you when you’ve got all the cameras and media attention,” Kylie said.
Kylie said the side will meet up for training and video sessions this week before Friday’s clash with the Broncos.
“We’re looking to reassess and set our game plan for the Broncos- just forget and move forward,” Kylie said.
“We need to take control of our game and not worry about what the Broncos are doing.”
She added the Roosters have a strong back line and will look to move the ball around to involve the likes of Karina Brown, Shontelle Stowers, Isabelle Kelly and Taleena Simon.
Kick-off is at 5.15pm and forms part of a double header at Allianz Stadium with the NRL semi-final between the Sharks and Panthers.
Meanwhile, Old Bar’s Holli Wheeler turned out for the Saint George Dragons in their 30-4 loss to the Broncos.
Despite being named on the bench, Holli was promoted to the starting side before playing the full 60 minutes.
She topped the tackle count for the Dragons with 24.
Saints will now meet the Warriors at ANZ Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
