The workshops aim to inspire creative thinking about ways to extend the useful life of unloved clothes.
The Taree book launch will be held at Taree Literary Institute on Wednesday, September 12 from 10.30-11.30am, followed by a workshop from 1-4pm.
The Forster book launch will be held at Forster Arts and Craft Centre on Thursday, September 13 from 10.30-11.30am, followed by a workshop from 1-4pm.
Attendance at the book launches are free, while tickets for the workshops can be purchased here for $20 each.
Workshop numbers are limited, so book early to avoid disappointment.
Participants are encouraged to bring along a few garments from their wardrobes that aren’t being worn, or some op shop finds.
The workshops will cover a number of options to adapt the old clothes and make changes using hand-stitched techniques.
Bring a simple sewing kit with scissors, needles and threads if you have it, and some extra fabric remnants or a surplus t-shirt.
