Despite a late fightback from the Taree side, Mount Ridley proved far too strong and far too fast.
Mt Ridley fullback Dean Ieremia was named Man of the Match after a scintillating display.
Five Mt Ridley College players were part of the Victoria Thunderbolts Mal Meninga Cup team earlier in the year, with word several are in NRL side Melbourne Storm’s development program.
The side from Victoria was taking part in the Country Cup for the third year running, after the CRL allowed southern sides to take part to boost the game further in the state.
The tournament was played at Dubbo’s Apex Oval alongside under 15s and under 13s Country Cup and Small Schools Knockout competitions.
