The rod run attracts car enthusiasts from all around the State including Sydney, Woolongong, Tamworth and Coffs Harbour.
The event features a show’n’shine on the riverbank at Taree on Saturday, August 25 between 10am and 2pm.
The run begins on Friday, August 24 with a meet-and-greet function at Smugglers Cove holiday park at Forster.
After breakfast on the Saturday, participants will head to Taree to set up on the riverbank, where they will be judged. Rod owners are more than happy to talk about their machines.
A dinner dance and presentation will be held Saturday evening at Smugglers Cove and on Sunday, breakfast will be followed by barefoot bowls and lunch at Black Head Bowling Club.
The event is in its 16th years and this year will be raising money for the Cundle Moto Rural Fire Service. In past year the rod run has raised $6000 for the Taree Volunteer Rescue Association and $5500 for the Nita Reed dialysis centre.
