Almost 80 per cent of pet owners across Ingenia Gardens communities nationwide maintain active and healthy lives for themselves and their beloved pets by walking them every day.
Taree locals are invited to join residents for morning tea and enjoy a tasty selection of baked goods, all in aid of the mistreated and abandoned animals protected by the RSPCA.
Ingenia Gardens Taree Village manager Amanda Howton said the cause was close to the hearts of animal lovers in the community, especially those who regularly meet in the communities off-leash dog area.
“Our residents have always been passionate about supporting this important cause, with many of our residents considering their dogs, cats or birds to be their best friend – the residents with dogs often get together in the off-leash dog area to socialise,” Ms Howton said.
“Ingenia Gardens Taree is proud to be a pet-friendly village, supporting our canine community and endorsing the benefits for seniors, with the companionship proving to be invaluable for independent residents, not to mention encouraging an active lifestyle.”
All funds raised on the day will go directly to the RSPCA to support the care and protection of Australian animals and prevent animal cruelty.
Ingenia Gardens village is located at 60 Edinburgh Drive, Taree and the cost is a gold coin donation. Residents, family and community members are invited.
