Families of St Clare’s High School in Taree welcomed the students and their teachers Shu Sensei and Morimoto Sensei to St Clare’s and into their homes from July 24 and according to principal, Peter Nicholls, “the excitement of both visitors and hosts was tangible as the Japanese ‘sisters’ were gathered up by their host families and enjoined into their family, community and school life.”

The Japanese students attended school, visited Camp Elim near Forster and took part in numerous activities with their host families during their time in the Manning Valley.
