Chatham High School’s Talea Fernance claimed a bronze medal at the School Sports Australia 10-19 Years Swimming Championships.

Talea competed for NSW in the 17 years multi class 4 x 50 medley relay.
She completed the 50 metre backstroke for her team.
Telea also took part in three other events at the championships, taking fourth in the 4 x 50 metre freestyle relay, fifth in the 50 metre backstroke and fifth in the 100 metre backstroke.
In addition to these results, she also set a personal best time.
“I took a couple seconds off in my 50 metre backstroke,” Talea said.
The championships were held at Queens Domain in Tasmania from July 25 to 31.
All Australian States and territories had representatives at the championships.
