More than 800 Roald Dahl fans (big and small) flocked to the MEC to see one of their favourite books brought to life on the stage.
The verdict was clear as the kids exited the theatre post-show, with shrieks of laughter still echoing, and many a shout of “awesome!” issuing from the throng.
Among the crowd was the exuberant group of students from Mitchell’s Island Primary who were very happy to be attending as well as well-known local Helen Hannah with her son-in-law Eyal Herzberg, and granddaughters Phoebe and Shiloh Herzberg.
An hilarious time was had by all, and virtually all of the grandparents emerged intact (except for George’s of course, but you’ll have to read the book or see the play to find out why!)
