Major General Sir Neville Howse and Warrant Officer Class II Ray Simpson will be forever remembered at the site for their service during times of war.
Both men lived and worked in the Taree area before they enlisted.
The ceremony was hosted by the Manning Valley Sub-branch of the National Servicemen’s Association.
Speakers at the ceremony included Wayne Ladbury, Reg Ruphrecht, Reverend Bill Green, Peter Clapson and MidCoast Council mayor David West.
The monument is situated next to the memorial clock.
