Running across the weekend of October 5-7, this year’s event will feature all the old favourites, as well as some exciting recent additions.
Pony club events, beef and dairy cattle judging, fruit and vegetable and arts and crafts judging will all take place on the Friday, with pavilions opening to the public on Saturday.
Along with sideshow alley on Saturday there will be poultry judging, Noah’s racing pigs, the kiddies corner, face painting, balloons and Troppo Bob.
The show will be officially opened at 2pm by Nikki Gibbs, the Land Sydney Royal Easter Show winner for 2018.
Nikki, who is Wauchope’s Showgirl, will be spending some time with showgirls on the Saturday to share her experiences with them, before the 2018 Taree Showgirl is crowned.
Also on Saturday night, dog jumping will take to the main stage, with members of the community welcome to enter their dogs to see how high they can jump.
Rooftop Express with fireworks will finish off the Saturday celebrations.
This year, the show will host the NSW chainsaw racing championships over both days.
On Sunday, main attractions will include sideshow alley, Noah’s racing pigs, kiddies corner, face painting, balloons and Troppo Bob will be back, along horse events and goat judging.
There will also be a pet show for kids and adults to enter with their pets, along with the dog show held by Mid North Coast Canine Club, and of course the wood-chop.
Crowd favourite, the demolition derby will close the show.
