The community is invited to attend the NAIDOC Community Day at Taree’s Fotheringham Park on Thursday, July 12.

The day will get underway at 10.15am with a welcoming ceremony.
In coherence with this year’s theme “Because of her we can”, many Aboriginal women will have the opportunity to speak about their own experiences.
Local dancers and singers will perform throughout the day.

Community transport points to and from the event will be at Mudford Street (Taree) at 9am, the corner of Cowper Street and Stokes Circuit (Chatham) at 9.20am and Purfleet Local Aboriginal Land Council at 9.40am.
The cycle will continue until noon before it resumes at 12.45pm.
The last trip will be at 4pm.
Other events took place earlier this week, such as a children’s disco and mixed touch football game with local police officers on Tuesday, July 10.
