This follows the 2018 event hosted by Manning Hockey Association.
Manning finished with a win, a draw and three losses.
“It was a steep learning curve for a lot of the players,’’ coach Janine Watts admitted.
"But I had a young squad – two players, Lucy Pearce and Lara Watson are still eligible for under 11s.
“Six or seven of the squad will be eligible for under 13s again next year, so they’ll be better for last weekend’s experience.’’
Manning’s sole win was a 4-1 result against Lithgow while they drew 2-2 with Central Coast. The side lost to Illawarra, Sydney Northern Beaches and Grafton.
Janine pointed out that Manning has only four under 13 sides to choose from.
“I had 18 girls trial for the side,'’ she said.
“So it does make it hard to compete against the bigger associations.’’
The team started training about six weeks ago.
Abby Watts and Taya Hunter, both playing in the midfield, were outstanding for Manning.
In all 43 teams played in four divisions in the three day championship.
