All pony clubs from around the region including Taree, Wingham, Kempsey, Port Macquarie, Camden Haven and Telegraph Point all vied for bragging rights.
Camden Haven Pony Club committee member Katrina Hayes said the weekend was split into two different events.
Saturday was focused on the showriding discipline for riders between Coffs Harbour and Forster whereas Sunday was more beneficial to the “all round” rider.
“(The first day) was focused on all types of classes for those that specialise in the discipline of showriding; it was a more specialised event,” Hayes said.
“On Saturday we had about 50 entrants who were mainly focused on the discipline of showriding and on the Sunday we had more than 70 riders who competed in a vast array of events.”
Hayes said Sunday's program had events that catered for the riders who enjoyed a variety of horse riding disciplines including flat work, jumping and sporting.
Camden Haven performed the strongest out of the clubs, while riders from Congarrini near Macksville took out the Supreme awards across both days.
“There was a girl from near Macksville that performed really well although most of the prizes were shared evenly across most of the clubs,” Hayes said.
“Camden Haven performed really well and won a number of the trophies and major awards.”
No official point score per club was kept, but Hayes said there was some high quality riding over the weekend.
“There wasn’t one overall point score as it wasn’t based on a club versus club level, but based on performances in the different age groups,” she said.
“The club is exceptionally grateful to local businesses for their sponsorship and donation of prizes.
“The riders really enjoyed receiving the extra gifts for their hard work.”
