Manning Landcare, based in Wingham, is having a tree planting session at Browns Creek in Taree and is inviting the community to join with its volunteers and Taree Scouts on the morning.
“Come along and help plant trees and view all the work that has been done to improve the biodiversity along Browns Creek,” Lyn Booth of Manning Landcare said.
“This tree planting day is open to the community, everyone is welcome!
“More hands make light work for everyone. So wear a hat and enclosed shoes,” Lyn said.
Bush regenerators and Work for the Dole crews have been busy removing weeds and planting trees along 1.5 kilometres of Browns Creek.
This project has been made possible through funding from the NSW Environmental Trust over a three year period.
People wishing to help plants trees should meet Manning Landcare and Taree Scouts at Taree Showgrounds at 9.30am on the Saturday morning.
