Superintendent Michelle Stenner will appear before a Brisbane District Court jury at a date to be fixed on three counts of perjury.

But she is no longer accused of helping to arrange a job for the daughter of her boss, Gold Coast Chief Superintendent Terry Borland.

During a brief committal in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Wednesday, crown prosecutor Vicki Loury QC said she had no evidence to offer on the single count of misconduct in public office.

Stenner entered a plea of not guilty to the three perjury charges.

Defence barrister Jeffrey Hunter QC said even though she consented to the matter being committed to trial, that should not lead to any conclusions about the strength of the case against her.

"Serious questions remain about whether the prosecution can actually prove that my client's testimony was: A) knowingly false and (B) material to the issue that was being investigated by the CCC," he said.

Stenner is accused of lying to the state's corruption watchdog during a hearing on August 4, last year as part of an investigation into the appointment of Amy Borland.

She allegedly gave false evidence about speaking to three witnesses, including Chief Supt Borland, who were due to be questioned over the employment process.

Mr Hunter said the allegations of perjury were "periphery" to the issue surrounding the appointment of Ms Borland.

Stenner, who remains on bail, did not comment as she left the court.
