Kicking off at 6.15pm, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra will perform Verdi's Requiem as part of its global broadcast, and Mid Coast locals have the opportunity to hear it live without having to leave the library.
"We're very pleased to be able to provide our community with a range of cultural experiences and this event is an exciting part of our program," library events officer, Danielle Donnelly said.
"We encourage anyone with an interest in music to come along and enjoy this amazing event."
With the support of Create NSW, ABC Classics, Sydney Opera House Creative Learning, Music Australia and the Australian Music Association, the livestream will be the flagship event in Australia’s first participation in the worldwide music festivities.
The event is free to attend, however bookings essential as the library has limited space. Visit www.midcoastlibraries.com.au
