They put out the call to the public “to pot a plant for PCYC” and have been inundated with potted plants and cuttings.
“The response from the public and our members has been amazing, and so far, we have raised over $2000 from the sale of plants,” coordinator Pam Eyb said.
“We still have loads of succulents and other plants, shrubs and trees and we will be pricing them to sell. A trailer load of newly donated, established pot plants will be arriving on the day so there will be something to please everybody. “
The craft cottage will also be open and patrons can take the opportunity to view two current exhibitions on display.
One is titled “Having fun with succulents”, and other is an art exhibition titled “Art and Soul”. This is a display of art created by veterans and essential services personnel during therapy art classes to combat PTSD.
Entry to the exhibitions is free.
The craft cottage is located on the corner of High and Pulteney Streets, Taree and will be open this Saturday from 8am to 1pm. Inquiries to Pam on 6552 5552.
