Mudford, the 2015 Manning River Times Sportstar of the Year, now lives in Sydney where he plays for University of NSW in the Sydney Premier League. He also turns out for Wests in the Newcastle Premier League, playing in Sydney on Saturday and Newcastle on Sunday.
Mudford and another former Manning player, Jacob Searle were members of the Newcastle (1) side in the NSW division one championships played at Moorebank. Newcastle had a successful campaign, qualifying second in their pool before being eliminated by eventual winners, North-West Sydney, in the semi-final.
Mudford and Searle are both 18, with Searle also playing in the Newcastle Premier League with Wests.
Mudford played for Taree West and Sharks in the Manning competition. He was named the sportstar of the year after touring South Africa with the Australian All Schools under 16 side.
