The craft centre, located next to Manning Valley Visitor Information Centre opposite McDonalds Taree North, invited people along for a fun day of knitting, crocheting and demonstrations.
The craft centre has a busy month coming up with the Manning Winter Festival.
It has an exhibition entitled ‘Talk to the Animals’ where members have worked hard handcrafting soft toys of every description. There is a miniature farm yard set up with all the farm animals as well as some life size animals that were made by a very talented woman, Carol Holland and donated to the craft centre.
There has been some yarn bombing at the centre and the car park area as well.
Yarn bombing originated in Houston, Texas and is now world-wide. It is a type of street art. Very colourful knitted and crocheted yarn products are used to decorate existing objects.
A large number of poles and parts of the building have been decorated.
