The winning bidder was Mr Seiji Inatomi, the managing director of NH Foods Australia PL.
The bidding was for a Charolais/Belted Galloway cross steer donated by Merv and Beth Presland of Bekadan Belted Galloway and Charolais Stud of Mount George.
Mr Inatomi travelled up from Sydney to participate in the charity steer auction.
It was a team effort to raise money for the chosen charity.
The purchaser of the live steer didn’t have to pay processing charges as these were donated by Wingham Beef Exports and Scott Kelly of Wingham Gourmet Meat and Chicken.
Ridleys of Taree also donated all the grain feed required.
