Over 100 animals took part in the walk, which was an increase on last year.
Taree RSPCA branch secretary Jan Swift said about $4000 was raised on the day and was enjoyed by all.
“We had an excellent day.
“The novelty categories were well contested and the winners were very excited with their prizes.
“We are very grateful to all the business houses and individuals who donated prizes and/or goods which helped to defray our costs enormously,” Jan said.
The funds will be put towards a subsidised desexing program during June.
The program is available to owners of domestic dogs and cats who are on a Centrelink benefit.
