The Youth in the Arts showcase on Saturday, June 2, will include singers, dancers, gymnasts and musicians (including acts from The Greatest Showman and Matilda) and encompass the visual arts through painting, drawings, film technology, photography and more.
Master of ceremonies is Manning teenager Conner Langley, who will also be starring in the opening act of the night.
Among those to perform is the Gymaroos.
The gymnastics club was started in the 1980s by Doreen Rayward-Wilson, affectionately known as Mrs R, and became one of the biggest gymnastics clubs across Australia.
In the 1990s two Taree gymnasts, Katie Mitchell (now Sigsworth) and Leigh Marning, competed in the Commonwealth Games. Katie in 1994 and Leigh in 1994 and 1998.
The Gymaroos squad has travelled overseas to perform on numerous occasions.
The current group will represent Australia in Austria later this year.
Young artists to be featured include Aboriginal artist James Dumas, Chloe Hargreaves who will work on a zentangle mural and Siena Hindmarsh with her illuminated wooden globe made from the hoop pine tree that was formerly located near Manning Hospital.
The showcase is a fundraiser for the PCYC and a Manning Winter Festival event.
It starts at 6.30pm on June 2 at PCYC Taree and runs until 9pm.
Tickets are $35 for canapés and standing, or $55 per seat at one of the VIP tables ($550 per table), with canapés delivered to the tables.
December 2018 marks 30 years since the official opening of the PCYC in Taree.
The community fundraising campaign back in the 1980s was led by Errol Brazenall, who was determined to see it established.
