The side started with a 54-18 victory against Maitland Mustangs with Ciara Wilkinson scoring an exceptional 24 points, along with contributions from Jannarlia Dumas (21 points), Imogene Lawton (5 points) and Jessica Hogan (2 points).
After a slow start in the evening game, the Tornadoes stormed home to a 58-17 win against the Central Coast Waves. Again Ciara Wilkinson was lead scorer on 28 points and Jannarlia Dumas (22 points) leading the way, with support from Imogene Lawton (6 points) and Jessie Cochrane (2 points).
In the third game the Newcastle Hunters lead for the first four minutes 3-0 before the Tornadoes responded on the back of a strong defensive effort lead by Arabella Roohan to prevail 37-6. Ciara Wilkinson bounced back from the slow start with 20 points, with Imogene Lawton, Tiffany Nguyen and Jessica Hogan all in the points.
The three wins make it 10 from 10 for the young Tornadoes squad who will travel to Maitland for the final round of games on June 17/18. The Tornadoes can expect a much tougher round with strong competition including North Sydney, Coffs Harbour and Tamworth to feature.
