The 2018 Mid Coast Careers Market will be held at Port Macquarie’s Glasshouse on Tuesday, May 22 and promises to deliver further opportunities for students to interact with local employers and training providers to learn about career options.
Last year more than 1000 students from across the Mid North Coast attended.
Those seeking career and study guidance are invited to attend and engage with training providers, industry representatives and support services. Help will be available to plan for the future and access up to date information on local industries, employment, education and vocational training.
The event will continue to maintain a strong focus on interactive exhibitions to make the experience fun as well as informative. Exhibitors are encouraged to engage participants with “hands-on” activities and share professional testimonies to complement their flyers and brochures, providing personal insights into work within their chosen field.
The Mid Coast Careers Market, organised by Mid Coast Connect has seen numbers in both exhibitors and participants steadily increase each year. Together with education partner TAFE NSW and additional support from Port Macquarie-Hastings Council and Charles Sturt University, the event is expected to be the biggest yet.
“We credit the success of the event to the diverse range of exhibitors and the high level of hands-on interaction,” executive officer Jenny Fraser said.
“We’re looking forward to building on the success of past events and providing an engaging and informative event for anyone looking to see what’s available.”
The Mid Coast Careers Market will be open from 10am to 2pm and members of the public are welcome to attend. Entry is free.
