This was Meldrum’s debut as captain in first grade. The award was judged on votes from umpires.
While Taree West missed the top four, Meldrum was the best performed Manning batsman in the competition. He finished with 334 runs in the competition-proper at an average of 27.83.
Meldrum, Taree West team-mate Ryan Williams, Jackson Witts from United and Wingham's Dave Rees were named in the Premier League All Stars side.
Ryan Williams was the best performed Manning bowler in the competition, taking 30 wickets at 11.23 including one haul of 5/5.
Nine clubs from the Manning, Hastings and Macleay associations contested the premier league.
