Ted admits to a good night’s sleep on Anzac night following the hectic schedule to ensure the dawn and main service went as smoothly as possible.
He was kept awake the night before checking weather maps and though he thought the dawn service might avoid the rain, he didn’t see the squall coming from the south.
Taree RSL Sub-branch chaplain, Reverend Bill Green admitted to some difficulty giving the address at the dawn service because of the rain and was still feeling a bit damp a few hours later as he prepared to take part in the main service.
