The previous Wednesday night Saints had downed Taree in an FFA Cup clash played at the Zone Field at Taree.
However, Taree began the first half of Saturday’s fixture in dominating form and led 3-0 at the break.
Coach Rod Bartley conceded he was concerned when Saints hit back to score two goals in the first 15 minutes of the second half. However, the Wildcats regained their composure to slot in a further goal to seal the result.
Ricky Campbell was in scintillating form for Taree, scoring three goals while Jordan Howard posted the fourth. Taree has the bye this weekend.
