It’s nearly showtime in Wingham! Save the dates for the 133rd Wingham Annual Show being held at Wingham Showground from March 9-11.
Celebrating 133 years this year, the Wingham Show is the perfect showcase for the best of country living with strong traditions respected by the local community.
All the action is happening on Friday, March 9 from 9am, Saturday March 10 from 8am and Sunday March 11 from 7am.
Gate entry fees apply on Saturday only. Adults $12, pensioners and 12-17 years $6, 5 -11 years $2 and children under five are free.
The character filled Wingham Showgrounds will once again come to life with the perfect mix of dedicated exhibitors and events committed to high standards.
Just a taste of what’s to come, includes:
Friday March 9: 9am showjumping, 10am Wingham Pony Club Funtastic Gymkhana, 5pm amusement rides. Free entry.
Saturday March 10: Saturday is family fun day! Competition begins from 8am for horses, beef cattle, poultry, sheep and art and craft.
At 9.30am see the first of the Noah’s Racing Pigs events. The ever popular woodchopping competitions commence at 10am.
Visitors can enjoy the amusement rides, stalls and sideshow alley all day.
At noon, and new for 2018 will be the Junior Rodeo.

Don’t miss the crazy antics in the smashup/demolition derby at 5pm, followed by the bull ride at 6pm, the spectacular fireworks display will be at 8.30pm.
Open on the showgrounds will be the rock musuem, Wingham Men's Shed and the Wingham Spinners and Weavers wool shed. Of course the charming showground tea rooms will be serving food as will a variety of food stalls. There will also be drinks available from the bar.
Amble around the show and see the reptiles, roving characters, roving magican, balloon sculpturess and puppet shows. Get your face paintied and keep an eye open for free giveaways througout the day.
Sunday March 11: Dog lovers will enjoy the dog show commencing at 9am. Breeds of all types will come together to win titles.
All the campdraft action happens from 7am and there is a junior bull and steer rodeo training day from 10am.
Plenty of activities to enjoy. Free entry.
