The group’s workshop is combat cards and the updated news is that the group will make Mothers’ Day fan cards using Geraldine’s creative kite pattern.
To participate in the workshop you will need floral or patterned paper, two pieces of matching card, small piece of black card, thin ribbon for two bows, small amount of lace about ½” x 12”, Mothers’ Day stickers, set square and protractor, sharp lead pencil, sharp scissors, double-sided tape.
There is always the option to make simpler cards. They will still be very much appreciated by our servicemen and women overseas unable to purchase cards to send home. Alternatively, bring along the craft you are currently working on or do nothing, just enjoy yourself and chat to friends. Don’t forget to bring your lunch, tea and coffee supplied.
All ladies are most welcome.

Health expo bigger and better
The annual Old Bar Health Expo is on again, on April 11 at Club Old Bar. This year, even more exhibitors are booked to provide their displays. This is a great event for Old Bar and surrounding areas.
Needing a JP?
Many larger towns provide a Justice of the Peace desk at a shopping centre for people to visit. If you are in need of a JP in Old Bar, there are a couple of options for you. If you have access to the internet, log onto http://jp.lawlink.nsw.gov.au/public/searchByNamePublic.do and enter the postcode 2430. This will give you the names and contact details of a number of JsP with their home suburb.
If you don’t have access to the internet, contact the Old Bar CTC on 6553 6677 where arrangements can be made for you to meet with a JP volunteer or nearby JP. The services of a JP are provided free of charge.
