It was a night when some of the country’s top artists came to the Great Lakes, with an international flavour thrown in.
A new summer festival called Under The Southern Stars attracted an estimated crowd of 5000 people to Tuncurry’s Harry Elliott Oval.
Its debut line-up was topped by none other than rock legend Jimmy Barnes along with Richie Sambora and Orianthi’s RSO.
Aussie rock stalwarts Diesel, Richard Clapton, Ash Grunwald and Dallas Crane joined the line-up.
The only sour note was when police stepped in, restricting where concert goers under the age of 18 could watch the event.
Advertised as a licensed, all ages event, the event promoter’s only restriction was people under 18 had be accompanied by a ticket-holding parent or legal guardian at all times.
