Wingham’s Maitlan Brown has made a solid start to the third season of the Women’s Big Bash League (WBBL) after featuring for the Melbourne Renegades in all five matches so far this season.

The Renegades faced off with Sydney Thunder in the season opener where Brown claimed 1/29.
They suffered a close loss in their second game against the Adelaide Strikers where she claimed 1/19.
It only took 24 hours for the side to exact revenge as they notched up their first win of the season against the Strikers by nine runs.
Brown took 1/21 off three overs in this game.
Her best performance came in the side’s first appearance against the Heat where she claimed 2/22 and scored two runs on the way to the Renegades’ second win of the season.
The side defeated the Heat again the following day, this time chasing down just 66 runs without losing a wicket.
Brown was not required to bat and took 1/19 from three overs.
The side sit fourth on the WBBL ladder but share the same points as the Strikers, Thunder and Scorchers.
Brown’s next game will be on January 2 against the Sydney Sixers at Camberwell Sports Ground in Melbourne.
