“A story being told with a medium and an image combining together to produce a result to stimulate the senses,” he said.
Ken’s been painting for more than 35 years and has a strong following nationally and internationally, painting exclusively using the oil medium.
He’s participated in more than 56 exhibitions, including 31 solo, and has been a regular contributor to Australian and international artist magazines.
And now he’s bringing his exhibition to Gloucester.
Ken exhibit “Spectacle of the Harbour” runs from Thursday, January 4 until Sunday, January 28 at Gloucester Gallery on Denison Street; with the opening on Saturday, January 6 from 5.30pm until 7.30pm.
“I have been painting Sydney Harbour and surrounds for more than 30 years and it never ceases to inspire,” he said. “From the impact on the grand scale to the hidden spaces buried in small inlets and coves, every turn provides another opportunity.”
His impressionist style gives him the opportunity to embellish features and he’s always looking for different approaches to creation the desired affect.
