Chief inspector Tony Power encouraged all residents to ensure all homes and vehicles are secure

Manning Great Lakes Local Area Command chief inspector Tony Power has urged all Manning and Great Lakes residents to ensure all homes and vehicles are fully secured.

The warning follows a recent spike in vehicle and premises break ins in the local area, such as the theft of a grey Toyota Yarris from Frances Street, Taree in the early hours of Tuesday, December 5.

Chief inspector Power said residents should take every precaution to ensure thieves can not access your home or vehicle.

“Make sure all windows, doors and screen doors are locked,” Chief Inspector Power said.

He encouraged residents to refer any information related to a break in to Taree Police Station on 6552 0399, Forster Police Station on 6555 1299 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
