Andy was a big hit with the students, who were impressed to have such a well known comedian in their midst.
Andy has performed at the Melbourne Comedy Festival, which was televised across Australia. He is passionate about the importance of family and anti-racism and is an excellent role model for the students.
FOCUS is a well-being program delivered to all year 11 and 12 students, and deals with issues relevant to the 16-18 age group.
Local culture and indigenous issues have been a theme recently and some Worimi Elders have also been interviewed by students as part of this unit.
The Student Representative Council used this event to fundraise for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation, which aims to improve student literacy rates in remote areas of Australia. Appropriately, the event was held in the library.
Students and staff would like to thank Andy for coming in and entertaining them, school had never been so much fun!
